Terms & Conditions for Spiritual Direction This outlines the agreement between Between Grief and Glory and you, the Client. Individual spiritual direction is available for a minimum of once a month and a maximum of four times a month.   The service to be provided by Between Grief and Glory is spiritual direction.   Through spiritual direction we will examine and discern through the mystery of God in all of life with the understanding that God has called each person into being through God’s own love (Psalm 139) and He desires to be the true Director and Guide for each soul.   Through prayer and reflective listening, your Spiritual Direction Coach will serve as a spiritual companion to help you discern the work of the Spirit in your life.   Our time together is not advice, therapy or counseling — but may involve any areas of your life you want to discuss, including work, finances, health, relationships, healing, education, spirituality and recreation, among other topics you may choose. You acknowledge that deciding how to handle these issues and implement your choices is uniquely your God-given responsibility.   Our time together will not treat mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. You understand spiritual direction is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment, and hereby agree that you will not use it in place of any form of therapy. If you are in therapy or otherwise under the care of a mental health professional, we encourage you to consider consulting with this person regarding the advisability of working with a spiritual director.   You understand that feelings are a normal and healthy part of being human and also a part of being made in the image of God and that through our work together, awareness and curiosity will be brought to the surface so you can make more informed choices, in tune with healthy discernment to move into the flow of greater faith, hope and love.  You understand spiritual direction does not deal with the psychological antecedent to emotions, which is the realm of therapy. Between Grief and Glory promises that all information shared by you will be kept strictly confidential, except when releasing such information is required by law.   All fees must be paid prior to the session. If the client fails to appear or give notice of cancellation at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time, they will be charged the full coaching fee.  By checking the box below, you agree to keep your agreements and to regard our appointment time frames with respect.
