While You Wait — Three Things to Practice Right Now
Integration does not begin in the webinar. It can begin in this moment.
Â
† Notice your body before you try to think.
Before Seen in the Wilderness starts, place one hand on your chest and one on your stomach. Take three slow breaths — not to calm yourself down, but simply to notice what is already there. Tension? Tightness? Holding? You do not need to fix it. You are simply practicing the first skill of integration: paying attention to what your body is already telling you, before your mind overrides it.
This is what it means to be attuned — not just to your thoughts, but to the wisdom your body has been carrying quietly.
Â
†Name one reaction from this week without judging it.
Think of one moment this week where you reacted in a way that surprised you, frustrated you, or left you feeling disconnected — from yourself or from someone else. Write it down in one sentence. Do not analyze it. Do not explain it away. Just name it.
Example: "I shut down when she said that." Or: "I felt angry and I did not know why."
That single sentence is the beginning of understanding your reactions rather than being ruled by them. Integration asks us to get curious before we get critical.
Â
†Think of one relationship where you have been on guard.
Not to fix it tonight. Not to resolve anything. Just to identify it. Where have you felt yourself pulling back, going silent, or bracing for impact? That pattern — the guarding, the distance — is your nervous system doing what it learned to do. It is not broken. It is protective. And it can be gently rewired.
Simply naming it — before Seen in the Wilderness begins — is an act of courage.
Â
These are not exercises in self-help. They are invitations into attunement — the kind of slow, honest presence that makes integration possible. Bring whatever you noticed into the webinar with you. That is exactly where we are going.
