About Paris
I did not come to this work because it was easy for me. I came to it because I know what it feels like to love God and still feel stuck in ways I could not explain to anyone in my life. The church gave me more of the same, pray more, read your Bible more consistently, pick up your cross, and sometimes the suggestion that the confusion and suffering was mine to answer for. The therapists I found were trauma-informed, but I still had to do the mental gymnastics myself, translating what they offered into something I could trust was actually biblical.
I am a certified spiritual director and trauma-informed soul care practitioner, and the founder of Between Grief & Glory, a ministry built for the woman standing in the space between grief and glory, the gap between the church and professional support that so few places are willing to hold.
